Rainwater Tank Design:
A carefully designed steel rainwater tank will add value to your home, be aesthetically pleasing and above all save water. Simply tell us your volume target and any space constraints and we will provide options for your consideration. If you are not sure what size tank you need, we can help you work it out. If you are not sure where to start, subject to distance from the Mt Evelyn factory (typically within a 20km radius), we will come to you for an obligation free discussion, measure up and quote. For distances up to 50km away, a nominal fee of $35 is charged, fully redeemable if we get the job.
Rainwater Tank Installation:
We will provide just the tank, or complete tank & installation service, or anything in between. Detailed quotes are provided based on materials and labour required. Quotes include summaries of assumptions and risks, to ensure open and honest communication. Trusted Plumbers and Electricians are used as required.
For difficult access jobs, where there is no way to deliver a rainwater tank via normal means, we will provide a quote to assemble and seal on site. Typically this approach is size limited.
Tank base and lid repairs:
We can provide a new base and/or lid to give your tank a new lease on life. For base replacement, the tank must be repaired at the factory. Cost usually works out at around $600~$800 subject to diameter (assumes the tank is delivered to and picked up from the Mt Evelyn factory). Lid replacement is usually done on site, as the tank is typically holding water. Cost for same usually works out at around $1200, subject to diameter, ease of access and condition of original lid/flange area. A site visit is required for lid replacement (refer above cost guidelines), following this a detailed quote is provided.
Raised Garden/Veggie Bed Design:
What a great way to reduce your grocery bills and teach/learn about how things grow. Simply tell us what space you have and we will provide some options/ideas for your consideration. Subject to length, width and height of the oval shaped beds, struts may be required to prevent them bulging in the middle. We will advise regarding the number of struts required. Fitment of the rods by us at the factory works out at $35 per rod. If you want long service life from your veggie beds, we can paint the inside surface and bottom edge with a brushable, food grade waterproofer, or alternatively steer you in the right direction to source the waterproofer so you can paint it yourself.
Custom Sheetmetal:
Got a sheetmetal idea or project you would like to progress? We welcome requests for all manner of custom sheetmetal work. We will take the time required to understand your custom project and provide responses or suggestions where appropriate in a friendly and supportive manner. We will think creatively, provide robust, Engineered solutions and a firm quote.
Custom Chicken Coop:
Keeping backyard chooks is a great way to provide a regular supply of freshly laid eggs, plenty of fertilizer and can be a rewarding experience for the whole family. We are currently working on a flexible coop design for urban backyards with not much space. You tell us how many chickens you plan to have (4~5 hens will keep you under the radar of most councils) and we will size the coop accordingly. Coop will include roosts, nesting boxes and easy access for cleaning and collecting the eggs. Stay tuned!
Quick turn-around time:
Many of our regular customers are Tradesmen who need quick and sometimes immediate service. At Ark we want to be providers of solutions, not more problems, so we provide a "while you wait" service wherever possible.
Delivery Rates:
Typical rainwater tank delivery rate is $100 within 20km of the Mt Evelyn factory. This applies up to our 2940 x 2340 (15,000litre) tank and assumes straight forward/easy access to the tank site. For 2 tanks up to this size, delivery fee is typically $150. For 3 and above tanks, or for larger diameter/height tanks, it may be cost effective to deliver via tray truck and we will provide a firm quote from Membury's Transport up front for same. Where tank site access is difficult, we will provide a firm quote up front to ensure your tank arrives safely.
For garden beds our delivery rate is typically $35 per trip within 20km of the Mt Evelyn factory. If you have ordered multipe beds, the size will dictate how many we can carry per trip.
For flashings and custom sheetmetal products, our delivery rate is as per garden beds. For easy to handle items (flashings/cappings/small items etc) we will deliver FOC if its on our way home!
